MEMBERS RULES

The Board has adopted the document below to summarise what is required of our members to ensure that the excellent reputation of the club, the enjoyment of all members and the people with whom we are in contact is not in any way compromised.

These are simple “common sense” behaviours that all members should have no difficulty with. Please take the time to read them.

1.1  A copy of the Constitution is available to all financial members

1.2  A condition of membership is that all members agree to abide by the Rules and Regulations and the By-laws of the Kirton Bowling Club

 

 2.1 The Board of Management Committee agree to manage the club in accordance to the Rules

              and Regulations and by-laws of the Constitution.

 

3.1 All members agree to comply with rules set from time to time by the Board of Management

             Committee for  behavior  within the club licensed area.

       3.2  No member shall over consume alcohol as to become a nuisance to other members and if

              so will accept and comply with all directives from the Bar Manager or his appointed

       3.3  No offensive language will be tolerated and any member using offensive language will

              accept and comply with directives from Board of Management Committee member(s)

       3.4 Smoking is only allowed in the designated ‘smoking zones’

       4.1  All members will play the game in the right spirit of lawn bowls.

       4.2  All members will show courtesy and respect to all involved in the game of bowls.

       4.3  All members will respect the decisions and directions by umpires and officials.

       4.4  All members actions will be to create a friendly and harassment free environment.

       4.5  All members will be professional in their actions and accept responsibility for same.

       4.6  All members will achieve to be a positive role model.

       5.1  Bowlers dumping bowls will be approached re correction of their delivery to alleviate

              Green damage and may be asked to use a bowling mat.

       5.2  Correct bowling footwear must be worn on the green surface.(Flat soled shoes)

       5.3  No food or drinks will be taken onto the green surface

6.1  Abusive, discriminatory, intimidating, threatening, racism or any inappropriate action by any

       member will not be tolerated.

 6.2  All members in their actions will ensure the goodwill of the club and will not undermine

the outstanding reputation of our club.

6.3  The Board of Management Committee will communicate general club business with members

through their web site and by email or post, but respect the privacy of members and no

personal issues will be addressed in those communications.

6.4   Members may communicate with the Board of Management Committee verbally, email or in

writing, unless directed otherwise by the Board of Management Committee.

6.5   No member will communicate with any unauthorized persons, businesses or organizations,

club confidential or private information that may damage our club’s reputation or perceive to

bring our club into disrepute.

6.6   Any member not satisfied with the general running of the club or decisions made by the

Board of Management Committee, will approach the Board of Management Committee re the

disagreements, but will not air any grievances on social media to unauthorized persons or

organizations, perceiving to bring our club into disrepute.

6.7   Any member who has a grievance with another member will approach the Board of

Management Committee re the disagreement, but will not air his or her grievances on social

media, to unauthorized persons or organizations, perceiving to bring our club into disrepute.

6.8    All members will respect and maintain the privacy of other members and the club.

6.9     All members will respect and comply with any Occupational Health and Safety measures

implemented by the Board of Management committee from time

 

7.1    Any member bound to breach any of the above rules of this Code of Conduct will be

referred to Section 20 of the Constitution. “Disciplining of Members”
