Vale Beth Townsend

Sadly, many of you would by now know that sadly Beth Townsend has passed away.

Beth was a very keen bowler who was good for a game anywhere.  She has been a Club Singles Champion, as well as a Pairs Champion over the years, but most of all her passion was facilitating the Nite Bowls Competitions which she did firstly with her late husband John continuing in her own right.

Her passing was unexpected and peaceful.  A Wake to celebrate her life was held at the club attended by 200 people who she had touched during her life.

The Kirton Bowling Club and the bowling community passes on our condolences to her family.

Janette Griffiths-Carter, with help from Stuart Macintyre, Chris King & others will take on the facilitating of Nite Bowls for the next season. Please help them to settle in to the role.
